Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.8

Hi everyone,

I'm getting into problems with my Deco.

I'm trying to get the backhaul to work but nothing to do.

All Deco are in acces point mode.

The topology is Modem -> FortiGate 60d (router) -> D-Link Gigabit Switch -> All 3 Deco.

I tried to ask TP-LINK support but they seems to don't understand my question.

I looked on the forums but can't find a solution to my problem.

Thanks a lot,

Goossens Thomas

  @GoossensT

Not every brand and model of switches supports Deco backhaul. According to TP-Link Support, DLink switches in particular have issues with Deco. This topic is discussed here, and check Q6 of that document: General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

You may need to replace your switch with compatible model.
