Model: Archer MR600  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 200511 Rel.44954n

Der Router verbindet sowohl zum 2.4 als auch zum 5.0-Gast-Netz, stellt aber im 2.4 keine Internet-Verbindung zur Verfügung. Der Client hat dann eine IP außerhalb des lokalen Netzes (LAN: 192.168.22.x; konfiguriert: 169.254.221.x).
Das erfolgt für diverse Clients (iPhone, Surface, Laptop).
Dadurch kann ich keine Geräte, die nur mit 2.4 arbeiten können, ins WLAN einbinden.
Da ich auch auf dem internen Netz Probleme mit solchen Geräten habe, nehme ich an, dass das auch dort der Fall ist, nur dass man hier die Frequenz nicht explizit auswählen kann.
Was muss ich tun?

Hi, if you connect to main 2.4G WiFi, will you be able to obtain correct IP address and get internet access?

 

Regarding the 2.4G guest wifi, please share with us screenshots of the settings.

 

In addition, except for the MR600, do you have any other network devices in the same network? such as access point or range extender etc., and is your MR600 working on 3G/4G router mode?

Hi Sunshine,

for the Main WLAN I have no differentiation between 2.4 and 5.0.

I have a RE505x in the network, but have temporarily removed it from the mesh.

The MR600 works in 3G/4G mode.

Hi, please try to download the latest firmware from our official website and update the firmware:

If the problem still exists, please try to set different SSIDs for main 2.4G WiFi to see if it has the same issue.

...I loaded the ZIP Archer MR600(EU)_V1_ISP_19502401.zip and unpacked it completely. Now I have the following folder...

 

e:\ist\Desktop\Desktop_diverses\_TP-Link\Archer MR600(EU)_V1_ISP_19502401\Archer MR600(EU)_V1_ISP_19502401\isp_19052401_gtw

 

...with the 2 files...

Both files are rejected and I cannot select the folder.

In the meantime, I separated the main WLAN into 2.4 and 5.0. As expected (if it not works with the combined main WLAN), the 2.4 also gets a 169.254.* address, while the 5.0 is correctly integrated into the network.

 

Now I'm hoping for the firmware update.

Hi, it seems that you are updating the ISP file instead of firmware.

Please download the latest firmware Archer MR600(EU)_V1_210608 and unzip it, then go to Advanced->System Tools->Firmware Upgrade page to upload the firmware .bin file and update it to see if it works:

...o.k., firmware update has now been completed...

 

Unfortunately the behavior hasn't changed. Both 5.0 networks work, the two 2.4 networks continue to receive the 169.254... IP's.
