Model: Archer C5
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I purchased an Archer c5 pro router. At home, I connected 1 Gbps optics. The router is configured in 2 bands 2.4 and 5.
Wi-Fi internet speed of 5GHz +-250mbs. What is the reason that the router cuts the Internet so much? If I connect the cable from the media converter to the laptop, bypassing the router, the speed is +- 900 mbs.s.

  @Rlbeor

Please connect the same computer to LAN port of the router to test wired speed as well, if the issue only happens with WiFi connection, please check the wireless link speed on the wireless client device: How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

  @Sunshine by wire through the router the speed is 970 mbs, by wi-fi in the properties it shows 870mbs and the speedtest speed is not higher than 250 mbs at 5 GHz
