Hy all. i am having problems with my archer T3U speed. I have a Asus x453ma laptop, upgraded to 8gb ram and 125gb ssd with win 10 pro and my wifi speed with the adapter plugged in wont exceed 60-70 mbs...  tried all kinds of registry modification, windows update turned off, i do not know what to do ...

p.s. my provider bandwith is 300 mbs, my phone does 295 mbs download test, tried the adapter on another laptop.. on the same router ....>> 250mbs speed download, something is limiting my bandwith on my computer, but i don,t know what.. :(  contacted tp-link support ... did not help. 

latest driver installed. any ideas ? tnx

@Solla-topee i solved the problem.. my adaptor is working fine.. i downloaded Ookla net speed test on my laptop.. and teste the net speed.. and surprise.. 250 mb download... I think something from my browser doesnt let met acieve the real speed... But tried it with different browsers.. and same result.. 

Now i am downloading on 5ghz network with 15 mbs on utorrent..  thanks for your reply

@SETH589  Hello, 

For  5Ghz slow speed issue, here are some suggestions you could try :

 

  • T3U computer is using the 5Ghz band, you may use separated names for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz? 
  • Try a different 5Ghz channel like channel 36/40/44/48 and change router Channel width to 80Mhz
  • Or you could scan 5Ghz channel using WiFi analyzer app and select a less- crowed 5Ghz channel 
  • Try  different USB ports, like a USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port

 

May I know did you test phone speed at the same location? What is the model of your router. 

Can I have a photo of the wifi link speed on compouter and phone? thank you
