I have a combination of 3 x M5 and 2 x M4 Decos setup in WiFi Router config mode using WBA/WPA2 with around 34 Devices connected generally all without issues except one.

 

This one device, a Samsung Tab A (2016), is able to consistently connect to my WiFi but about 75% of the time it connects without internet access to both the Main and Guest Wi-Fi whilst all other devices remain fully connected. No settings are changed between being connected and not connected on either the Deco system or the tablet. Furthermore, the tablet can be swapped without issue directly to my Wi-Fi router or my mobile hotspot (which is connected to the internet using my Deco Wi-Fi) at the time.

 

Is anybody able to suggest a reason and, preferably, a solution to this annoying problem please?

Hi, Is the other WiFi router also a Mesh router or a standard WiFi router?

I see there are a lot of discussions about the Wi-Fi issue on Samsung Tablet and wonder maybe it does not like Mesh system.

Please refer to the following suggestions to see whether they helped:

1. Turn on the Automatic date & time under General Management > Date and time.

2. Turn off "Mesh Technology" on the Deco APP for Tab A 2016.

3. Disable "fast roaming" and "beamforming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced.

I have a Samsung Tab from a similar era with almost identical behaviour. Try enabling the IoT network (or the Guest network) and restrict it to 2.4Ghz, then connect the Tab to that, making sure to forget the main network. My Tab has been connecting fine since I did this.

Typically, It's just regained Internet access without doing anything.
