When setting up the router in Access Point mode with static IP Address and DHCP disabled it causing a looping problem in our company entire network.

 

Where with the same setting in other Access Point (different model) it's working great with no problem.

 

I have also tested to configure the same IP Address in our TP-Link range extender (RE650) with AP mode and it's working fine with no looping problem or whatsoever.

 

I have also updated the firmware to the latest version from Tp-Link official website.

 

Only the Tp-Link WA1201 is causing this problem. Any help is appreciated.

Use this guide to configure TL-WA1201 in AP mode.

Make suer that you have disabled its DHCP server.

The latest FW release can be downloaded from the Australian support portal - here.

If you're not on TL-WA1201(US)_V3_1.10.32 Build 221020 then update to this version.

  @terziyski  I have already downloaded and updated the firmware to TL-WA1201(US)_V3_1.10.32 Build 221020 using the link you given. And re-configure the access point again but the problem still persists. Only connected to the internet for a few seconds then causing the looping problem again. I have attach the picture of my setting below. Thank You!

Can you tell us where the TP-Link WA1201 is connected to - directly to your main router or some other device (describe your network infrastructure) ?

  @terziyski I have tried pluggin the LAN directly from router and also from main switch.

 

Our network infrastructure is from (Internet Provider -> Router -> Switch -> Computer).

 

We also have other multiple access point with the same setting ( same IP range and DHCP turned Off ) connected to our switch and working just fine. Only when the Tp-Link WA1201 connected will the network go into loop.

Looking at your AP configuration and given the fact that your network topology is pretty simple, I can't see any obvious reason that will cause a loop in your network.

It would be best if you contact your local tech support for further investigation of this issue.
