This is a bit confusing..... It has been working from the start........

So, the problem. I had to turn the extender off and then on again, but when it came back up, devices connected to it failed to connect to thee internet... I couldn't even check for updated firmware due to not connecting to the internet......

I thought to turn off the 5Ghz band.... This rendered the extender useless (only the power light was lit and the local IP interface timed out)........ After a few factory resets, I thought to keep both bands on but used the wrong password for the 5Ghz band...... Now it gets internet.... However, now the wifi light flashes red every so often - I guess because the 5Ghz band password is wrong and not actually poor reception? Devices still work when it flashes.

This was only needed for my Ring doorbell as my main router is too far away.....

Anyone else had this behaviour before?
