Is it possible my house is too old for powerline adapters?

I recently bought powerline adapters and used them in my house fine. However, when I tried to use them at another house, they simply did not supply an ethernet connection to my computer.

Yes the adapters were paired

Yes the cables were secured

Yes the adapters was plugged into the outlet, not a power brick.

I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

Hi,

Have you already tried a few different wall outlets? If not, then first plug the second TL-PA9020P into a wall outlet in the same room where the other TL-PA9020P is located. If that works, then try in an adjacent room, then the next room.

In case the TL-PA9020P KIT works fine when plugged into another wall outlet, but not the one where you intended to use it, then it could mean the wall outlet that doesn't work is too far away or wired to a separate electrical circuit.
