Issue seeing pictures on social media after installing 4g antenna
I've been using the archer600 router all week with no issues regarding WhatsApp and Facebook other than it being very slow.
I had the 4g antenna fitted which greatly increased the speeds but now we can not receive images through WhatsApp or see pictures on Facebook or instagram.
I have checked in the settings that there is no parental controls on already but other than that I'm stumped.
Its the same on all our phones and tablets, anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
Do you mean right after you replaced the original 4G antennas with some aftermarket 4G antennas Whatsapp and Facebook wouldn't show any pictures anymore?
Have you already tested what happens if you revert to the original 4G antennas?

@woozle hiya, yes the original twin antennas that were connected like ears to the router were swapped for a larger antenna attached outside the house.
I have switched it back and the same problem persists.
I'm getting good speeds, bearing in mind I'm in the north west of scotland. 31 download and 15 upload.
The company we are getting it through couldn't get an engineer here for a couple of weeks so I'd initially just plugged the router in and used it straight out the box without the outside antenna, which was fine.
I can only assume when it was set up correctly there's some kind of restriction?
thank you for respo

@Elsie17 A quick update.
Apparently when I just plugged the router in without setup it was using BT and everything was fine.
When it was set up correctly,it was set up to EE. That was when the issues started. Just been informed that it's an issue with EE blocking it and it'll be sorted by tomorrow.
Ill update tomorrow.

Ok, that makes more sense.
What exactly did you do so that the mobile network provider changed from BT to EE after setup? Does your MR600 have a pre-configured profile ("Profile Name") for EE that you just selected or did you have to create a new profile (via "Create Profile") by yourself?
Anyway, let's hope it will be fixed by tomorrow.
