Hello,

I use 3 Deco M4R device at my home.

My main Deco is connected to my ISP router, which is using a fiber optic 600MB/30MB line.

When I'm connected to Wi-Fi I get very low speed, it drops to between 50 to 300.

When connected to the LAN port of the Deco I get high speed, 600MB as expected.

Test made when very near to the Deco, same on all three.

I assume this something to do with Wi-Fi configurations.

Can someone assist in figuring this out?

Thanks!!

Roee

  @Roee

I would recommend the following two configuration changes:

1. Configure Deco mesh to run in Access Point mode: Switching a Deco to Access Point (AP) Mode

2. Leave only 5GHz band available on Deco Main Network:

After you've made these changes, run speed tests again, with the device connected over WiFi to Main Deco.

  @Alexandre.

Thank you so much for the reply, unfortunatley that didn't help.

My Decos are configured in Access mode, and band is now set to 5ghz.

I still get half the expected speed.

Thanks again!

Power off all your Satellite Deco. Leave just Main Deco running. Bring device you run speed tests on to the close proximity of Main Deco, about 1-2 meters (3-6 feet), not more. There should not be any obstacles between Main Deco and that device. Turn off/on WiFi on device. Run speed tests again, 3-4 times back to back.
