Advice on a wifi range booster needed, please.
Hello,
I am not tech savvy (OAP) but can follow instructions.
Until recently we were with Sky for our broadband. In order to send the WIFI signal down the garden to our gardenroom, we were using a Sky wifi booster which just managed to send enough signal to an extender we had plugged in to operate SKYGO on the XBOX.
We have just moved to Shell Energy Broadband. We live at the end off the copper wire, the green box is half a mile away so we are lucky to be 'enjoying' 20 Meg speed.
As we are now with Shell they recommend TP Link to boost our signal. The Sky booster used to sit on the kitchen window sill about 7 metres from the router and it sent just enough signal about 15 metres to run the XBOX. Can you recommend a product that can get SKYGO going in the garden room as before?
Apparently it is my fault we left Sky so can you get me back in the good books with everyone, especially my wife, please?
Our router is WIFI 6, my daughter tells me.
Regards,
John Moffatt
