Router IP address 172.16.10.1
Just unpacked the Archer AX55 to replace the Archer C7. I want to use the same IP for the router 172.16.10.1 and the IP address pool 172.16.10.2 - xxxxxxx.
When I go to Network > LAN and enter the IP 172.16.10.1 for the router, he restarts, and I can't connect to the router, I have reset him.
What has to be done that it works with the new addresses?

@terziyski that's the reason why i started the 1st post :-)
When I change the IP to 172.16.10.1, I click on save, the router restarts and I can't reach the router. Not by the old address (192.168.0.1), nor by the new one. I purged the DNS resolver cache, release the IP and renewed the IP at the laptop.

This should be straight forward operation as long as the IP address is a private IP address.
I can see that your AX55 FW release is pretty old one. You can update the FW to the latest one and check if there's any difference - here.
What is your router FW region ? This is printed on the device bottom sticker - details.
I would do the procedure like this:
Set AX55 with LAN IP 172.16.10.1/24 - router restarts.
Set a static IP address on the laptop wired network card as 172.16.10.2/24. Connect an ethernet cable between laptop and AX55 LAN port.
Open a browser and point it to the 172.16.10.1 IP address. At this point you should be able to see the AX55 WebGUI.

A DHCP pool should be in the range of 172.16.10.2 - 172.16.10.254.
Can you post a screenshot of the DHCP settings and error message.

This is the error message when I try to change the IP address pool first. So this does also not work.

You have to change the LAN IP address of the router first (router will restart itself) and then set its DHCP server pool.

I updated the firmware to 1.2.6 Build 20231130
Hardware version: EU v1
then I connected my laptop via Ethernet with the AX55, changed the AX55 IP to 172.16.10.1 and saved (and it restarted automatically)
then I changed the IP of my laptop to 172.16.10.2 and I could connect to the router and change all other settings, like IP address pool.
Changed my laptops IP to DHCP given and the internet works :-)
Thanks a lot @terziyski
At the first trials, I didn't change the IP of the laptop to static, this must have been the problem.
