Bought this router today ( 15 march 2024) but i am sad to know that it is faulty and it is not working as desired.

The speed which I am getting on my 500 mbps connection is 0.7 mbps and sometime 1 or 2 mbps on 2.4 ghz.

where as on 5 Ghz , the speed is 300-400 mbps , that is okay.

 

I am is from india and I am facing this issue.

 

I reset the device and set the router all again but nithing helped , seems the case of " ya toh raat tak , aur nahi toh chand tak "

 

Regretting to buy this , i will be happy if some tplink offcial solve this

 

PS: I have written a very decent review for this product on amazon india website just not to fall prey to potential buyers in future

Hi,

 

1. please go to Advanced >> Wireless Settings to change the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi channel, you may try different channels to find the best one for your environment.
2. if the 2.4G speed is still so slow, please try different 2.4G client devices, also check the 2.4G wireless link speed: How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

I tried everything , the problem is with device . I think I have received a faulty device. One mroe thing which I have seen is that Tplink is pushing Eu updates for US device

Hi, please check the 2.4G wireless link speed: How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client and let us know what the link speed is.

 

Besides, we are not pushing EU firmware to US models, actually EU and US firmware of AX72 V1 are with the same version number.
