Good morning, I have a wired connection connected to a Firewalla Gold firewall. This firewall allows you to connect, on a second wan, another modem as a failover in case the first connection does not work. I wanted to connect my Archer MR600 with an LTE sim as a failover. My question is this: when you don't activate the failover WAN, you don't consume data traffic, right? Basically the MR600 should only activate when it gets the request from the failover. Another thing: if I keep remote management turned on via the Tether app, does it consume data? Thank you very much!

  @mayone

When it works on Ethernet WAN, it will not consume data of the 3G/4G WAN.

For Tether App remote management, I guess more data will be consumed since the device need to communicate with cloud, but still it consumes the mobile data only when using 3G/4G WAN.

  @QRene Thank you for your answer. I will use without wan connected, just 4G for wan.

LAN connected to firewall failover wan that will be activated only when primary firewall lan (cable) goes down.
