Hi.

I have a Guest network configured where my IoT devices are connected. I do not have (yet) the IoT network, it is not available for X20.

I am testing a connection between two devices connected on the guest network, on port 502 or 6607 (unfortunately I cannot use other ports), and it seems like the connection fails.

Question: should two devices connected to the guest network be able to communicate on non-standard ports, like 502 or 6607? Connection works fine on http/port 80.

Thanks!

  @Pesq

Hi, welcome to the community.

I remember that the devices are not able to communicate with each other on the guest network, but they can access the web management interface(http://tplinkdeco.net) of Deco.

Port 80 on the Deco is reserved for local access to the web management interface.

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP thank you.

What about if I move them to the main network? Should they be able to communicate between each other on non-standard ports, like 502?

  @Pesq

Hi, Yes, they should be able to between each other on non-standard ports, like 502 over the main network.

Best regards.

Thank you!

Is there any way to remove this block on the guest network, like a beta firmware which will allow more customization? My network consists of 2 x X20 and 3 x M5.
