Model: Archer AX3000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.6 Build 20231130 rel.36135(4555)

Hi,

I recently bought a new Archer AX3000 router, in general I'm satisfied but there is a issue related to the connection that several times a day goes down.

I'm using the cable connection on my laptop to work and I experience (during these issues) the switch between LAN and WIFI during my calls with 20-30 seconds of downtime.

It's frustrating when I'm presenting because I have to reconnect (and my voice/video disappears).

I'm checked that I'm using last firmware, I'm checked with my ISP (Vodafone Italy). Connecting directly with the Vodafone router it does not occurs. The ISP connection is stable (and was stable for many years before Archer). I check also your forum and I saw that exist some beta firmware that may fix it.

Following the last two issues (one during the night):

  @Arg0n4th

Hi, Thanks for posting your issue on our community.

According to your description and the log, it seems to be unstable WAN connection issue. Below are two suggestions:

   1) Make sure the Ethernet cable between your modem and the Router is connected properly, replaced old cables with new ones.

   2) Change the DNS Server of the Router, login the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, change the two DNS Servers into 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8.

And we may need your help to collect more information for better analysis.

  1) When the issue happens on your laptop, how about your wireless clients?

  2) Is there any abnormal LED, especially the Internet LED when your laptop gets unstable?

  3)Do you have to reboot router to recover the stable connection on your laptop?

Thanks for your cooperation!
