Model: Archer AX3000
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1

I recently acquired an Archer AX3000 WiFi router and I can't access the Internet. I connected this new router to the ONT provided by my ISP (Nokia G-010G-PC) using an Ethernet cable through the router's WAN port. Following my ISP's instructions, I created the necessary PPPoE connection and entered the PPPoE credentials I found on the old router. However, when I try to set up the connection, I see the message "CHAP authentication failure" in the WAN connection logs. I've tried everything I could, but I haven't found a solution, and so far, my ISP hasn't provided any further information or instructions. I also want to add that when setting up the connection, I noticed that it's possible to configure VLANs. On my old router, it was configured as "802.1Q VLAN ID = 24". However, on the new TP-Link router, it also asks for another VLAN called VoIP, which I can't find on the old router. I'm quite lost with this topic. Can anyone help me get my router working?

Hi,

When you set up the internet on the router, usually you only need to enter the Internet VLAN ID (if provided by your ISP).

You can first confirm the internet configuration information from the old router with your ISP and input it.

If it still cannot work, you can contact the local support directly and get help.
