Hi,

I have an AX3000 that recently replaced an AC1900. I've used remote access to this remote location for years using DDNS and also have a number of devices accessible via port-forwarding.  I can get to my hosts that use port forwarding, but can not get to the AX3000 login page remotely at either the HTTPS : 443 or the HTTP: 80 ports. (yes, it is enabled.) With the port-forwarding working fine, this is not a DDNS/IP address issue, It appears to be a bug in the router. Is anyone else having issues?

One thing that I haven't tried yet: I have used 192.168.1.254 as the LAN gateway for some time and that is what I use on this router. It surely shouldn't effect remote access, but it has occurred to me maybe there is a bug that only I would see because most people use the default gateway of .1.

Any insights or things to try would be appreciated. As I mentioned, port forwarding works fine, so I can get to my other devices at this site remotely. Just not the router itself.

The router LAN IP address shouldn't matter when using a remote access.

Try setting the HTTP to other port (like 8080 for example) and test again.

@terziyski

i have tried http when set to 8080 and a few other ports. The router doesn't seem to reply at all to either the http ports or https at 443. I have tried turning the firewall on and off and also obviously rebooted several times,

have been hoping others would be having the same problem so i could call it a bug and not something more difficult to find!

I presume you're using http://<DDNS>:8080 when trying to access the AX3000 remotely on port 8080.

You are trying to access the AX3000 by its DDNS from an external network, not from your LAN ?

Do you have any devices before the AX3000 like an ISP modem/router, etc. - describe your network topology.

Is your AX3000 WAN IP address public ?
