Win 10 computers can only connect to router when repeater is turned off
We recently installed a TL repeater, it works wonders !
However once you want to connect back to the main router wifi with in a windows 10 computer it says it is connected to the network but is not receiving internet
If you turn off the repeater and connect to the main wifi while it is turned off you can still get internet when the repeater comes back on, but once you connect to the repeater you cannnot go back to the main wifi unless you turn of the repeater again.
If you try to ipconfig /renew it says
"The DHCP client has obtained an IP address that is already in use on the network. The local interface will be disabled until the DHCP client can obtain a new address."
but DHCP server in the repeater is turned of !
This is the map of the network
This is a rural area in a tropical country, internet is a cable modem, it then goes to the router which has both a 2.4 ghz and a 5 ghz band, it gives wifi, then the repeater amplifies it to the rest of the property
This happens only on windows, and in all windows computers. I would be grateful if you can help me as this is beyond my current understanding. thank you in advance
