Model: Archer AX21
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Good morning, I desperately need some help!

I cannot remember my "bind password" and I am unable access my tp link app. I tried resetting but it's still not working.

What's the default password?

How can I reset it?

When I press forget password tab, it states that I should hold reset button for 10 seconds. I did this and nothing changed.

  @AnikaA

After a successful reset the Archer AX21 should ask for creating an administrator password. This step requires entering the same password two times (similar to the screenshot below).

If you are asked for entering your existing password and only one time, then the reset was not successful. Did you notice a distinctive response from the router's LED light while holding down the reset button?

The password for the TP-Link ID (the one you use to log into this forum or the Tether app, for example) is a different matter.

Hi,

After a successful reset the router should ask you to set up a new password. Is that not the case?

Are you accessing the router via the browser webpage or do you still use the Tether app?

  @woozle thanks for reaching out

1. After resetting it takes me back to the login screen. I entered my login and it works on the ID page. After the iID log page, it goes to the bind page and I'm stuck even after pressing reset.

2.  I have access to both the router and the browser webpage. I have the same issue with both. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling but no changes.

  @woozle

Thank you so much.

I kept holding down the reset button until all the lights were out, except the power light.

After that, I used the IP in the browser on my mobile and was prompted with the new password page.

I reset the password and everything seems to be working fine.

sad part is, I have to enter the new password on every smart device in my home lol nevertheless, thanks.

  @AnikaA

If you are talking about connecting your smart devices to the Wi-Fi of the AX21 router, you can change the routers Wi-Fi name(s) and password(s) to what they were previously and everything should work as before.
