Archer BE550/800/900 firewall
How do I control the firewall? I can't find where to open and close ports.

Hi,
If you want to forward incoming requests with a certain port number to one of your client devices connected to your router's internal network, then use the "Port Forwarding" feature that is located in the web management interface under the tab "Advanced" and the menu "NAT Forwarding".
In case you are talking about opening ports for the router itself, this can't be done manually (and doesn't need to be done manually). If one of the router's own services requires a certain port to be open in its firewall, then that port will be opened automatically when you activate the service in question via the router's management interface.
By default, on a new router out of the box or after a factory reset, all ports should be closed in the router's firewall. (at least I hope so )

@woozle Thanks I've been reading up on SPI firewalls, so now I understand why I don't need to actively manage the ports.
