Hi,
May I know the certain issue you met?
Case 1: Not seeing the default Wi-Fi network (TP-Link_Extender_XXXX) of the extender on your phone.
a. Make sure the Extender is in factory default state, press the RESET button (hole) with a pin for 1 second (the light on the extender would flash) to reset the range extender back to factory default.
b. Put your phone next to the Extender.
Case 2: Cannot find the host Router's Wi-Fi network on the Extender.
a. Put the Range Extender close to the host Router.
b. Make sure the Wi-Fi network of the host Router is not hidden, if the host Router's wireless network is configured to be hidden, you may also manually input the Wi-Fi SSID/password for the Extender.
c. Change the Wi-Fi channel of the host Router, we recommend using channel 1/6/11 for 2.4GHz and 36/40/44/48 for 5GHz. Avoid using DFS channels on the host Router.
d. Reboot both the host Router and the Extender, try agian.
