Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.13.2 Build 230824 Rel.75032n(4555)

Hello, my Archer C80 dropps connection randomly every one-two-three months, hard to say exactly when. The connection light becomes orange, and a restart always fixes the problem. Since I run a server behind it, it's way too often to be acceptable for me. It runs the newest firmware, for it's 2.20 hardware version, but the update didn't fix the problem. Here is the log, but I doubt it will be helpful, since it looks too short for me. Should I return it, or is there something I can check?

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

When the internet drops on TP-Link router, it is suggested to follow the steps below to check:

    1) Connect a PC directly into your modem to verify if your ISP Internet is stable.

    2) Make sure the Ethernet cable between your modem and the Router is connected properly, replaced old cables with new ones.

    3) Change the DNS Server of the Router, login the web management interface of the Router, go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Advanced Settings, change the two DNS Servers into 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8.

  @Marvin_S

1. There is no connection, even if connected directly

2. The cable is brand new

3. The DNS are already primary 1.1.1.1 and secondary 8.8.8.8

Hi, thanks for your update.

If you the direct connection from the modem has no internet access, it is suggested to contact your ISP to confirm the connectivity from their end.
