Hello I currently have 3 x deco m9 ac2200 mesh at home and am considering buying a tp link deco x50 5g router and unlimited data only sim. Are these units fully compatible and will the to link router take the place of the primary deco leaving me with 3 deco m9's to place around my home to improve the mesh?  Thanks

Hi, yes, Deco X50-5G could establish a united Deco Mesh with Deco M9 Plus.

Can different Deco models work together?

Then you will have two options to create the mesh network:

1. Deco X50-5G works as a 5G bridge modem and the first Deco M9 Plus still works as the wireless router, just like your current network configuration.

Deco X50-5G 1.1.5 with Bridge Mode and Cell Lock

2. Deco X50-5G works as a 5G wireless router and All three M9 plus units work as satellite Mesh units.

The main difference lies with the software features supported on the main Deco. for example:

Deco X50-5G uses HomeShield Security kit while Deco M9 Plus uses HomeCare security kit.

Several software features have been added to Deco M9 Plus_1.6.2 but might still not be supported on Deco X50-5G_1.1.5.

Thank you very much and best regards.
