Hi all ,

I have been using succesfully a TP_LInk MR600 AC1200 router with a Smarty SIM to access internet. There will be a complete shutdown of the EE/Smarty 3G network very soon and they are prompting users to switch to a 4G VoLTE compatible device soon (which to me looks more like advice directed to mobile phone users rather than router set ups)

is my internet connection capability going to be affected in any way ?

I am aware I can set it up for 4G operation only - I am guessing this will be enough ?

Thank you

Hi,

If your MR600 is already connecting to EE's 4G network (which you should be able to determine by looking at the router's status page), then you don't need to do anything at all.

Whether the MR600 is set to "4G Preferred" or "4G Only" doesn't matter, it's only important that it's not set to "3G Only".
