I've just bought a TP-Link VX1800v DSL and being a newbie to networking etc would someone kindly give me an explanation of TPLink Guest Networking.

I've set it up on my VX1800v and can see/connect to both the default network and the guest network.

I was expecting the guest network to have a different IP range ie 192.168.50.* but this doesn't appear to be the case, as when I connect to Guest I still get allocated a 192.168.1.* ip address.

Is this normal ?

  @mb61

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Yes, it is normal. The modem router assigns IP addresses of same network segment for devices~
