Model: Deco BE63
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I've a setup of 3 m5 working good but slow to access gb internet

Thought to replace only the master to wifi 7 as be63.

Wanted to understand if all curvy features capabilities will continue to work properly and should i expect any compatsbility issue? Uri

  @shabiu

Hi, welcome to the community.

How much wireless you are expected to get from the Gigabit internet service?

Sometimes, upgrading the Wi-Fi router only might not improve the speed, and you also need to upgrade the mobile devices.

Do you have any WiFi 6 or 6GHz mobile clients?

Compared with M5, the most obvious difference might be that Deco BE63 started using HomeShield, no longer HomeCare.

Wait for your reply and best regards.

while running m5 speed test I see a limit of 400-500 Mbps downstream limit, which I assume is CPU limit there. I tried to check QOS in the past, nothing help. so my goals

- are more bandwidth toward the ISP

- have higher wired b./w (some clents connected via wired 2.5Gbps)

- future ready for new devices

have few wifi 6, assume will have more in the coming year

I see HomeShield is subscription based. out of the list (home)  "IoT Protection, Web Protection,Intrusion Prevention " is this what I've w/homeCare or on top of it. simply saying. is the free tier of homeShield gives me what I've today or I need to pay to get what I've today

This is a bumper that will force me to look elsewere if other are offering basic protection as part of HW price
