I have connected a USB drive to my Archer 73 and setup files sharing.

On my windows pc I can access the shared folder OK via a mapped network drive.

Under Router/ASdvances/USB/USB Storage/Secure Sharing I can see my USB drive and the shared folder. It shows that Admin has access to the shared folder with read/write access whereas visitors only have read access. Passwords are quoted for both types of accessor.

When I access the shared folder on my pc via the napped network drive I have previously assumed that my access has admin privaledges. Is this correct?

Using Ashampoo backupper I have tried backingup certain folders on ,my pc to the usb drivedrive but access was always denied. Any ideas why?

Hi, thanks for posting question here~

When you access the shared folder on pc via the mapped network drive, you can read and write content normally. Please refer to this article:

How to access USB storage device on the TP-Link Routers from Windows or Mac OS

However, some commands of backup software like Ashampoo backupper are not supported by this router. So access was denied.
