Model: Archer MR500
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.8.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 240507 Rel.41141n

I would like to request the following feature to the mentioned router:

Allow to receive calls on the SIM card

Background

I use the mentioned LTE/4G router with a SIM card. That SIM card (called "MultiSIM" by my provider) is a secondary SIM next to my main SIM. If I have an incoming call both SIMs are called/rang at the same time. Since the router doesn't allow incoming calls on the inserted SIM, the incoming calls will be rejected by the router. On my phone (with the main SIM) I only get a notification about a missed call. So basically I can't get an incoming call on my mobile phone.

  @Attila81

Hi

Thank you for sharing your suggestion in the community.  Your insights are valuable to us as we strive to enhance our products based on user needs. If you have any more ideas or feedback, please feel free to share them with us. We also welcome other users who have similar needs to vote and engage in the discussion.

Due to functional limitations, the MR500 does not support VoLTE. Therefore, the most efficient solution at this time may involve considering a SIM card change for the router.

  @Joseph-TP

I have the same issue with a DECO X10-4G which is annoying since I used an older TP-Link M7350 mobile internet pocket router without any problem.

I kindly ask TP_Link support to quickly handle the issue, since the current bug makes me impossible to use their new products and so I (and problably other MultiSIM users as well) will have to bring back the routers to the wholesaller.

I have to emphasze that this MultiSIM offering is very populer here and will probably take over single cards since the network providers are using it as a tool to bring all the mobile internet contracts to a single provider...

Looking forward to hearing about the solution (which might be easy, since it is still workoing proerly on older tp-link devices).

  @ggaszton

Hi, Thanks for your time and patience.

If you're willing to further cooperate with us, I'd like to escalate your case to the senior engineer directly to see whether he could offer any workaround.

Please check whether you can receive my email later.

Best regards.

  @ggaszton good news that TP-Link prepared a new firmware which works fine on my device, I mean it doesn't refuse the incoming call on the Multi-SIM. I suggest you to raise a support case with TP-Link support.
