Model: UE306
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello!

Just bought a UE306 V1 adapter today, and the power seems to turn off at random moments for a couple of seconds which makes gaming impossible

Backstory:
I had a power outage once which made my motherboard's native ethernet port not work at all (previously it worked just fine)
Therefore I bought a TP-link Archer Nano T2U Wifi adapter, which also had this problem of turning off at random moments, yesterday it got so bad that I had to switch

Once I switched to the actual USB to Ethernet (today), bought a completely brand new ethernet cable, installed the relevant driver, unticked the "turn off device for energy consumption" type button, turned off the native motherboard's adapted, tried all the possible usb ports in the PC, the problem still persists

If you have any other ideas on how to fix this, please let me know

P.S. I chose the UE300 model in the settings while creating this thread cus it doesnt give an option of UE306

  @PURESANE

What Im implying is that the adapter sometimes turns off, leaving this planet icon when you dont have any connections

  @PURESANE

Update: while Im watching the videos everything is usually fine, but once its discord and an opened multiplayer game, the adapted itselfs stop blinking, fully turning off for a couple of seconds

So I guess it can be connected to the amount of internet usage?

It seems you've tried various troubleshooting steps for your UE306 V1 adapter, but the issue of random disconnections persists, especially under high usage. To address this, ensure you're using the latest drivers and consider connecting the adapter to a different USB port or a powered USB hub to rule out power supply issues. Also, check for overheating and ensure the adapter is well-ventilated. If network congestion might be a factor, optimize your network settings and look for any firmware updates for the adapter. If these steps don’t resolve the problem, the adapter might be defective and could need replacement. Meanwhile, if you're in need of a break, you might enjoy Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy—you can download the APK version 1.9.8. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/edit/reply/1413936=
