Model: Deco X50-5G
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.7 Build 20240809 Rel. 18610

Hi!

Is there a way to split the 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks on the TP-Link Deco 5G instead of having them combined? I could theoretically do it using the guest network, but I need the guest network for other things. I read somewhere that there's an IoT setting on the X50 which could be used to separate them, is this not available on the 5G model? I haven't found it in the app or web interface. Kind of disappointing if this is not an option.

Kind regards,

Andrée

Hi, welcome to the community.

Deco X50-5G doesn't support "IOT Network" yet and is planned to be added via a future firmware upgrade.

Currently, I'm afraid the Guest network is the only available workaround.

Thank you very much and best regards.

@David-TP Good to hear that it's planned. Any ETA on when the feature might be available?

Hi, I'm afraid no ETA has been shared with the R&D team. If there is any further news, we will update in the community as soon as possible.

Best regards.
