Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: OpenWRT

It is the TL-WR1043ND, but the "D" one is not in the above list.  Greetings, I found a locked post, "How to recover the router when you bricked it?", and I have a similar issue, but the model number is slightly different as mentioned above. Is the process any different for my router? (the link source for the TFTP program is broken so had to find it elsewhere.) The network status shows zero (0) packets received when connected to the router, and it is connected to the internet from my main modem/router. Have not been able to get anything to appear on that TFTP program in the status tab. The LAN & WAN lights flash very infrequently.

Thank you, Shalom.

  @life777eternal

Hi,

I think you are better off following the recovery instructions from the OpenWrt website for your specific model and hardware version.

Greetings  @woozle thank you for that link, though it seems that I will have to use this TFTP64 by Ph. Jounin program, and I have never used TFTP before, so I'm not sure how to properly configure it. The "help for Tftp32" (although I have the 64 bit version) indicates that a person has to fill in the fields "Host" and "Remote File", though I'm not sure what the remote file name is. Plus I don't remember if I had changed the IP address for the router or not. There hasn't been anything appearing in the "Log Viewer" tab. Also I have the version 1.

Also, did you mean this https://openwrt dot o r g/toh/tp-link/tl-wr1043nd#debricking part of that page? The first pdf link from "Spansion" is broken, although I found it on Archive dot o r g https://web dot archive dot o r g/web/20160615070900/http://www dot spansion dot c o m/Support/Datasheets/S25FL064P_00.pdf.

Thank you, Shalom.

 Also, are Archive dot o r g links "illegal" on this site Or OpenWRT dot o r g links? Popup
