Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.11 Build 20240724 Rel. 38913

I'm trying to setup both a Google Nest Home Hub Max and Mini Speaker.  I'm using the Google Home App via my Pixel 6a which is connected the TP-Link Deco WiFi network.  Neither can complete the setup because they insist the network AP is isolated.

I can confirm and have tried:

  • Device Isolation is disabled
  • Beamforming disabled
  • Fast Roaming disabled
  • 2.4Ghz only enabled (tried)
  • Using IOT Network (tried)

None of these solutions work.  My Google devices were working fine, but I changed the SSID+password and reset the devices.  (I can't recall exactly, but I might have set them up with the old router before I bought the TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro and then just used the same SSID+password.)

Phones, computers, smart TVs all connect without issue.  Even the Google Nest Doorbell connected fine.  Just not the Nest Home Screens and Speakers.

Anyway, if I can't fix this, I'll have to throw the Deco in the trash. :/

Can anybody help?

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Can I have a screenshot of the error message that "they insist the network AP is isolated"?

If we only enable the 2.4GHz under the Main WiFi network, will the Nest hub and speakers connect to the Main 2.4GHz network?

(Please also make sure there are no special characters in the SSID/Password.)

Special Characters are not suitable as Wi-Fi Name and Password

Wait for your reply and best regards.

Thanks! The WiFi password seemed to be the issue, so I had to omit any dashes/hypens "-" from the password. Now devices can be added without issue.
