Model: Archer AX53
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.4 Build 20240509 rel.64683

'Evening all.

What the title says, my LG OLED C2 is THE ONLY device on my network that keeps dropping its connection from my router.
I've been pulling my hair out in frustration for the last 3-4 days trying to find a solution to no avail and i've tried everything :

- I've 2 separate SSIDs, one for the 2.4GHz band and the other for the 5GHz one.
Connection drops no matter the SSID i connect to.
Band steering is obviously turned off.

- Assigning a static IP adress to my TV (like i do with all my devices)
- Enabled/disabled QoS for my TV from the router
- Changed DNS servers in my TV's network menu (Google's 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4).Also tried 1.1.1.1 with the same results.
- Channels are set to "auto" - router does a good job of keeping me out of congested ones (checked via the Wi-fi analyzer app on my Android device).
- Tried changing the Channel width
- Tried putting the TV on the guest network (both 2.4 and 5GHz)
- Tried putting the TV on the IoT channel
- Tried changing the Security protocol (default is WPA2-PSK)
- When hardwired, turned the wi-fi connection option to "off"
- Did the "change location services" trick on the TV, nope, didn't fix anything
- Turned off "quick start+" option (or whatever it's called) on the TV - no fix
- DMZ'd my TV's IP through my router

- As a last ditch effort/resort, i turned off the router's firewall (of all things) for a couple of minutes - STILL NOTHING !

Basically, what happens is whenever i turn my TV on everything works fine for a couple of minutes, meaning, i can open and use various apps, stream, surf the web via the TV's browser, BUT - and here's the thing - after a while, i lose connectivity even though the TV says that it's (still) connected to the internet/network (again, this happens both on wi-fi AND Ethernet).
I can replicate this exact problem every time by doing the following : Turn the TV on, start Spotify, listen to a song, go back to main menu, open Amazon Prime, stream for a little bit, go back to main menu, open Nvidia GeForce Now, stream for a little bit, go back to the main menu, open LG channels, stream for a little bit, go back to the main menu, open Twitch/Rakuten TV/whatever and...that's when the app will hang/freeze - i can go back to the main menu and select whichever app but it will not work since there's (apparently) no internet connectivity - even though my TV's network menu says that it's still connected.
Many times, i get a black screen on the TV saying : "CHECK NETWORK CONNECTION - The requested address cannot be found. Please check the network connection

Now, someone will think that it's the TV's wi-fi module/card OR, my ISP that could be at fault here, right ? Well, wrong because :

A) When connecting the TV through my Smartphone's  Hot-spot everything works NORMALLY, no connection drops, no freezes, nothing...i can stay connected for hours on end with no problem whatsoever.

B) I connected my ISP's router and...everything works NORMALLY, again, no connection drops, no freezes, nothing...

From all the troubleshooting that i've done, everything points to the router since i've taken everything else  out of the equation.

I'm at my wit's end here, i don't know what else to try since i've exhausted all the options i think, absolutely horrible  experience, please advise on what could be done (something tells me that it's a router incompatibility thing).

Thanks

Hi,

Did you set any advanced settings like parental control on the router for the TV?

Besides, please also check if you have enabled VPN for the TV.

  @Sunshine

Hey there and thanks for chiming in.

- No parental controls (not on the TV, not on the router)
- No VPN active

I don't know what to do at this point, i might return the AX53 back to Amazon (had it for 1 year) but something tells me that even if i get a new TP-Link router i'll encounter the same exact problems...
I mean, i turned off the Firewall of all things and  I STILL had the same thing happening...
