Hi,

I have 3 Deco X10s set up around the house, I am new to using them and previously just used my internet service providers router. When I got my Deco's I plugged in straight from my ONT and it worked fine. Today I've swapped to a new internet service provider, I thought my Deco would just work after the activation but it didn't, I have found that I've had to plug in the new router provided by the new internet provider and then plug my Deco into that to get it work. Ideally I'd like to get rid of using the providers router and just go back to plugging into the ONT directly but it doesn't work.

any ideas?

Looking online it seems you will need to contact them for your username ans password in order to set up a PPPoE connection directly to the ONT box on the wall.

Other option is to leave the Vodafone router in place and connect your main Deco to one of the ethernet ports on the rear and change your main Deco to access point mode. (On Deco app go to more, then advanced, then operation mode > access point mode)

Who's your internet provider? It depends what type of connection they use.

@klipse  thanks, this is what I ended up doing when I set it up as I needed Internet for work, it seems to work, just means I have quite few plugs at the front door plug socket, nevermind. Thanks for your help
