Hello,

I am facing some challenges with Deco system and need help.

The whole system is based on two Deco X50 units and one X50 outdoor.

The main deco X50 works as a router, it is further connected to a managed switch with a standard setup.

The remaining units are connected to the switch through a lan cable to extend the wireless network.

There are many other LAN devices connected such cameras directly to the switch - which I can see all under deco app.

I have recently faced a challenge with my company laptop, which I have connected to the switch through a lan cable.

Everything works fine in terms of connection and connection speed, but I don't see it under devices in deco app.

It is neither appearing as online nor offline, also I didn't get any alert with regards to new device being connected.

Same story if I connect that laptop wireless-ly, and this is even a bigger challenge because I cant setup e.g. a preferred connection to the nearest deco.

What is causing this issue? is it possibly related to the laptop setting being forced by administrator to treat the network as a public network?

FYI, I cant change that setting, but it doesn't make sense for me either, because that would mean sone could wireless-ly break into my network without being noticed....

Thank you for your support in this matter.

Regards,

Mark

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

If your other wired devices can show in the client list normally, it may be related to the special restriction settings on your company computer. Here are some several troubleshooting suggestions for your reference:

1. If you connect the company computer to another network, can it show in the client list?

2. What is the IP address of the computer? Was it set static IP or automatically getting the IP address?

3. You may refer to "Scan for Devices" part in this guide to check whether the computer appears.
