Model: Archer T3U
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: Archer T3U Plus(EUUS)_V1_win10_191204

same problem as in case: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/271692=>

archer t3u plus does not see android (14) hotspot 5Ghz => from phone Oneplus Nord4. PC and multimedia box (-es) see same hotspot easy in 5Ghz mode (even in hotspot wifi6 mode on).

Archer t3u plus sees 5ghz only from router.

2y from prev cases and nothing has changed in drivers to see 5ghz from android systems?

Archer t3u plus see 2.4ghz from same hotspot. As i understand from previous cases problem is what channels uses wifi hotspot. For example router 5ghz uses channel 40, but android wifi hotspot uses 5Ghz channel 149. For PC internal adapter (and media box also) it is not a problem that android hotspot uses channel 149 for 5ghz.

2.4 Ghz is much slower than 5Ghz and thats sad that Archer t3u plus cannot see hotspots that other hardware can see with no problem....

Or may be there is some solution? Drivers, etc?

Hi,

On the "EU" version of the Archer T3U Plus (as well as several other USB Wi-Fi adapters made by TP-Link) the channels 149 to 165 have been intentionally disabled within the dongle itself.

Unfortunately, there is no known workaround for this.
