Deco X50 and powerline combination
Hello,
I have recently installed the triple x50 deco mesh network. Its working like a charm! Good speeds everywhere in the house now.
But i tought maybe there is more speed to be gained if i take a devolo powerline adapter and connect the furthest away deco with the powerline directly to my router.
Or should i connect it to my other deco near the modem?
If you run Deco mesh in Access Point mode, you can connect powerline adapter to ISP router. In case you run Deco mesh in its default router mode, powerline adapter must be connected to Main Deco or to one of Satellite Deco. Main Deco is preferred but not a requirement.
Not every brand of powerline adapters support Deco Ethernet backhaul protocol. If yours does, you will see Ethernet backhaul link in Satellite Deco page in Deco app, like this:
