Is there anyway to set up the router without it being connected to the LAN port of a desktop/laptop and still use its WI-Fi capabilities? This is my first time installing a router and my previous router was set up by someone else and the router was directly connected to the router only. I don't have desktops at home I only have laptops. I need help if there is any way to directly connect the router to the DSL modem and still retain the Wi-Fi Capabilities.

Once I have done installing the router I tried connecting it directly to the DSL modem, the laptop can see the network but cant connect.
