Can I connect a old modem with wireless to the Tp-link for an extension of my wireless ( some sort of Access point)?
I have this configuration: cable modem from Thomson > Tp-link 740n. The other modem is a Webstar epr2320r2 with wireless.

Do you mean Modem or Router? Because, input pins to Modem is different than that of Router. You can connect RJ-45 that comes out of Old modem to 740N. It'll work like charm.
