Model: Archer C64
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.14.3 Build 241128 Rel.61573n(4555)

Hi,

After testing the beta firmware for several weeks, my Archer C64 router froze and stopped turning on.
When I power it on, all LED indicators briefly light up and then turn off.

I attempted a factory reset, but it did not resolve the issue.

I also tried transitioning the router into TFTP recovery mode, and it seems to work.
I held the reset button while powering on the router, and initially, all LEDs blink. After a few seconds, all LEDs light up, which I assume indicates the router has entered TFTP firmware recovery mode.

Could you please provide the IP address I need to set on my computer for the router to connect, as well as the exact filename for the firmware?

Thank you!

Here's the official procedure for recovery from a bricked router.

I believe that C64 should be the Case 1 from this guide.

If that doesn't work for you try the suggestions from this thread.

Hi  @tapac3,

Please set the computer IP to 192.168.0.x format, and you can perform firmware recovery.
You can try to download the officially released firmware to upgrade the router.

After the last communication with the engineer, did you change any configuration? It is recommended that you continue to reply to the engineer in the email to get a faster response and suggestions.

  @Joseph-TP

I’ve already set up the computer's IP and manually specified the gateway.

From what I can see, the Archer C64 does not have a web interface for recovery.

That’s why I’m asking for clarification:

  • What IP address will the router use to connect via TFTP to my computer to download the firmware?
  • What should the firmware file be named?

Since my last communication with the engineer, I haven’t changed any settings.

Thank you for your advice. I will also duplicate this information in an email.
