Settings required for a cable modem

Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version :
ISP : HATHWAY
I just bought a 3020 router but somehow cannot configure it correctly to work. When the router is set to 3g/4g mode and I setup the router I do not get any internet access. However on AP mode the internet works just fine with only one computer connected. The ISP is of no use in helping with settings.
