Model: Deco E4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.1

Hello,

I have a setup consisting of two Deco X50 units (one as the main router and one as a satellite) and an additional Deco X50 Outdoor. Today, I purchased a Deco E4 to improve coverage in a weak spot at the corner of my house.

The setup process was successful, but no devices are able to connect to the new E4. When I attempt to force a connection using the "Connection Preference – Preferred Deco" option, the device immediately loses its Wi-Fi connection.

Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Here are the troubleshooting steps for your reference:

1. Reboot all Deco nodes.

2. Reset and add Deco E4 again near main Deco, and check E4 is connected to which Deco node.

3. Put E4 closer to main Deco, and check whether any device connects to E4 automatically. Then try to change the signal source to E4 for the device.

4. Check whether the issue happens on all client devices.

5. You may also swap the position of E4 and another satellite Deco to observe.

Thank you and best regards.
