Hi,

I have an WDR4300.

Considering the 5GHZ band , of maximum 450mbps it will get about 56MB/s in a file transfer ok?
(NOT BY A USB HARD DISK PLUGUED TO ROUTER, OF COURSE)
BY A WIRED PC , OR AN EHTERNET GIGABIT NAS OR HARD DRIVE CONNECTED TO RJ45 ROUTER'S PORT

In front of the router (0m) i can get about 17 - 20Mb/S (about 160mbps)
From a distance about 4m i only can get 7MB/s.

Anynone have made these tests?



My 5GHz band is at WPA2 AES, 40MHZ, only N
I used the software inssider. NO 5GHz band detected. Only mine. So, no interference.


What can i do to upgrade this?



Another Question: Anyone made theses tests with the new tplink AC1750 ?

450mbps is just the total in the air bandwidth/transfer rate. Therefore:
1) make sure your client supports 450mbps (e.g. Windows shows that this speed is connected)
2) the real throughput for e.g. transferring files is about 1/3rd of the transfer rate. So 450mbps/3 -> 150mbps and converting into mB (1B = 8 bits) 150/8 -> 18,75 MB/s. so they is your measured speed ;)
3) the distance dropdown shouldn't be so significant though

Yes, i can connect with an macbook air , or a pc connected by cable in another WDR4300 bridged. (yes, i have 2 in bridge)

i just keep thinking why the hell to sell a product sayng it is 450mbps, if it is 150.

maybe , can i reach 400mbps with 2 models AC1750 ?

I use the bridge with a nas + a wdtv.

it's ok , but full bluray iso keeps stutering.

Files about 20gb 25gb are all right to stream.

I am lucky if I get 5 Mbps throughput for file transfers. And thats with a wired ethernet (gigabyte NIC). You dont even want to know what the wireless results are. This top of the line router needs to be at the bottom of the trash bin. I purchased this on amazon and I have been convincing every person who looks at the reviews or Q and A section to not buy. I have the ac 1750 fyi.
