Hello,

I have 100Mbit/100Mbit cable connection to the internet.
I have bought WDR 3600, upgraded firmware to the latest version.
I run 2.4Ghz network only, since my laptop wifi card doesn't support 5Ghz.

Everything works fine when I connect directly Laptop -> Cable. Torrent speed is 10+Mbyte.

When I connect via Router's WiFi (PPPoE connection), usually speed is about ~4Mbyte in torrent. I could live with that, IF i didn't get random slow downs every 10-15 mins, when speed drops to 40 kbs and even sites are loading REALLY slowly (only router restart helps). My router is 5 meters away from my Laptop. Even my D-LINK DIR300 was working way better (30$ against 100$ ).

So I got few questions here:
1) Why D-Link 150Mbps router gives the same downloading speed ~4 Megabytes as TP LINK with 300 Mbps (~10-12Megabytes) ??? This one has to give all 100Mbps my ISP provides, hasn't it ?
2) Is there some utility/way to detect REAL maximum WiFi speed of my wifi card in laptop / output wifi speed of router ? (to detect sources, which are giving reduced speeds)

3) Are there any tricks&tips to tune up TP LINK WiFi Router/connection ?
- So far I have found those - disabling: hardware NAT, WMM (by the way, what that means ?), IGMP proxy - set wifi to 40 Mhz. Are there any other tricks besides those ?
