High CPU load on Windows 7

I upgraded from winXP to Windows 7 (SP1, 64bit). After installing the TL-WN821N driver, I get a high CPU load when using it. The system interrupts CPU load is at about 0-5% when the card is disconnected (or disabled through the device manager). When connected and running, the system interrupts load jumps to 15-50%.
The internet connectivity seems fine, and I didn't have this problem on winXP. This happens also when the internet browser is closed.
Any ideas?
