Hello everyone,

We had a problem with our old router resetting everytime cos of being overloaded.
So we bought the archer c7, seemed like a good router according to reviews.

But now in cs:go i have a new problem occuring which i hadnt before.
I get a lot of tiny lagspikes, which will just put me back half a second quite a few times per minute.

I don't know if i could try changing any settings or if i should return to vendor.
It's been working fine for the rest, but it's a real pain playing cs:go now.

Some more details:

I'm on a wire and disabled wifi.
Hardware version: Archer C7 v2 00000000

Did you try to connect to modem directly and play cs? You have to ensure it is working OK.
As to stablity issue with the router, does it happen by wire, wirelessly or both?
Does it help if you open some ports for a specific game?

I have not tried connecting it to the modem directly, because i know for sure the modem isnt the problem.
It was working fine before, until i changed the router to this one, nothing else changed.

It happened by wire, and i just tried wirelessly and that seems even worse.

Not sure if i did the right thing, but at "Virtual Servers" in "Forwarding" i added serviceports 27000-27075 for my laptop's ip-address and used both protocol's.
This didnt have any effect.

You should try connecting you pc directly to modem/cable to see if it still occurs because it looks more of a network problem than router. You can still try router reset, it may help after all.
