Firmware Version : 3.13.6 Build 110923 Rel.53137n

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone knows if this is possible or not.

Our setup is:

- 2 x laptops & 1 x desktop(1) on LAN supplied by service provider and using service provider router
- 1 x desktop(2) connected to TP Link which also has the printer connected to it. TP Link plugged into the LAN line from our service provider.

The 2 x laptops can only print on wi-fi.

The desktop(2) can print on LAN and wifi.

How can we configure the TP Link or the laptops & desktop(1) to use the printer while on the LAN from our service provider and without having to connect to wi-fi????

Is this even possible?

How about using TP-LINK as an access point?

Hi Ada,

Do you know if I set is as an access point, would I need to ask our service provider to allow port forwarding?

Thanks

What does it mean? Port forwarding for what?
When the router works as an access point, your laptops, desktop and printer are still in the same network and they should be able to talk to each other. Give a try. Maybe it works. :)
