Hello,
I recently got a broadband mobile usb modem from my ISP.
It works just fine when connected to my PC, but it is kind of useless in a desktop machine so I thought of connecting it to my wireless router and use it when traveling where there's no connection at all. But I can't find any options on the router's admin page that will allow me to do this. Is this kind of thing supported by the router?
If yes, any ideas would be more than welcome.

No such a feature. You should look for a 3G/4G router.

It is possible on this router but only with alternative firmware (OpenWRT or Gargoyle). Router works very good. I have tutorial but only in polish -

Ok, it's a shame though, I'm not gonna buy a new router just because of this.
But I might give it a try with a different firmware.
Thanks anyway, guys. :)

I'm not sure I understand correctly what you want to do, but in case you do actually want to use a 3G / 4G modem into the USB port of the router then pay attention, I read that the USB port of this router could not provide enough current for a 3G/4G USB modem:

I have the 1043 too, hardware v1.8, firmware
3.13.4 Build 110429 Rel.36959n
I guess I should update the firmware, the router works pretty well but seldom part of it goes to sleep, in absence of ethernet or wireless traffic during some time... I think I need to upgrade my firmware and I just came to the forum to ask if the latest published version has given any bad surprise or if I can expect to have the upgrade run smoothly and the firmware work just fine (and the MAC clone feature to be maintained, alas it's indispensable here).
