Hi,
My purpose is to extend the wireless coverage with same SSID and security
I didn't find in the manual the repeater option: http://www.tp-link.com/Resources/document/TL-WR841N_V8_User_Guide.pdf

I followed this manual: http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=227
But during setup it tells me that the repeater and the main router should carry the same channel. Once I did that, Wi-Fi performance decreased from 30Mbps to 2Mbps.
If I defined different channels, there is no Internet in the repeater.

Please advise.

TL-WR841N has no repeater mode.
In WDS mode, you have to use the same channel. What's the distance between the main router and WR841?
Did you try to change a channel on the main one and reconfigure WR841?

I tried different channels, didn't helped.
distance between them is 3 meters.
In the end I replaced it with TP-Link TL-WR700N as repeater and now all is OK.
